* Kevin is thinking of creating an orphan's thanksgiving at omni for omni folks. contact him for details
* The garbage cans have moved to the old kitchen hallway, garbage at omni is really gross, we need to do something to ensure it doesn't keep being so awful
* Mia mentions that Niki and David spent a weekend cleaning bathrooms and we need a way to keep the space clean and divide the work. we intend to talk about it later in the meeting
* Korl is screening &quot; The Internet's Own Boy&quot; about Aaron Schwartz with a discussion afterward and the anti-classic '90s film &quot;Hackers&quot; Friday 10/23 @ 7. Popcorn and drinks, BYOB. It takes place in the basement.
* Steven mentions that the group Qilombo needs help with fundraising by tomorrow. He emailed about this.
* Alice mentions that David cut his hand, and thus wasn't able to pick up a freezer that is available to us for free in San Francisco. People are needed to help make it happen. You can call alice directly at (415) 272-0596. Tools are also good to have. Including a stripped screw remover.

Working Group Report-backs
Fundraising
* Daniel fundraising working group. Video almost ready. The public launch is in a few weeks. Suggests that the collectives hold open houses where peers and friends get to see the space so that they know the space when the push launches. Collectives could offer some item that is uniquely theirs, to help build community and market the spaces.
* Daniel is working on grants. Anyone wanting to work on it, please contact Daniel. There will be emails.

Collectivity
* Kevin facilitating collectivity committee. Collecting thoughts from the group about:
** looking for suggestions about what the working group should be doing
** collectives should have members in working groups
** Steven produced survey, no responses
** decided to let the definition of tenancy resolve itself
** Margaret: potential name change: &quot;How We Organize&quot;

Permits
* Mia talks about safety, insurance, compliance, etc.
** ada bathroom. can't currently be used
** liability. people working in the building is a lawsuit risk. we have the idea of getting a wavier that people working on the space can sign. vote on it: 10/10 pass
** the TIL wall

Finance
* Niki finance. Need new CFO. Amanda Amgo volunteered. They are going to come up with some questions to vet potential candidates. The committee meets Tuesday @ 7. Please attend if you can help.

Kitchen
* Joe kitchen. Waiting on zoning letter. The kitchen upstairs is great. If you need to use the one downstairs talk to Helen or Joe. Joe is thinking about bumping out the wall to give the kitchen more space. Tearing out some wood shelves. Ordered valves for stove.

CDC
* No notes. Either they didn't report or more likely I'm bad at taking notes. (-Ben your minutes taker)

20 minute breakout
Not so much

Proposal from Backspace
Don. They are trying to figure out money, etc. He wants to proceed with martial arts and Chi Gong (sp?) classes. Will proceed with renovations. Will pay rent to backspace in the future.

Joe asks about the scope change of the backspace proposal. Don answered that there are different people in Backspace doing different things, working on the larger proposal. Don wants to use the space in the meantime. He wants to put up something to partition off the space from the opening to the cafe.

Alexandria clarifies: proposal is - paint - have classes 3 times a week, indefinitely, starting next week - put up temp. cover to block the space to give privacy - cover the TIL with drywall

Niki expresses support for backspace. Others agree. Niki wants to define time constraint for the 3 times a week classes.

Don notes that backspace is planning to submit a more comprehensive proposal next week, this proposal will be superseded by that one.

Daniel asks about the floor. Its chipped, etc. Don will use mats. Floor fixes might be a future project.

Naomi wants to say that the current proposal is part of an effort to make forward progress on the space while their big proposal is in progress. They are having a hard time putting together all the financial pieces in the context of a collective. It is overwhelming. They have doubts about the support from the other groups at omni.

Andrew has reached out in mediation to David, Niki, others to help explain the financial stuff and resolve the confusion about the group. Notes that backspace is one of the last founding groups that is looking for space at a time when space is in contention. They are working with the commons working group and others to get the next proposal into the right shape.

Mia asks: Are the classes free? Don replies Two are by donation. Two are $90/mo. Free drop-in. Wants to find space for this thing, which is a business. Mia asks: Would he be willing to pay prorated rent? Don replies No, but he would be willing to pay the rent in labor working on the space. Once the full backspace proposal is in, he would be paying rent to backspace.

Group considers proposal without Don's modifications to the TIL wall, for two weeks.

Vote. 9 yes, no blocking, 2 abstaining

Proposal from Commons Working Group
Nobody could be here tonight. Margaret can answer questions. Proposal read by Steven.

The text of the proposal is not included here. Someone please include it, your minutes taker doesn't have a copy.

The next meeting is Saturday at 1PM

Mia asks does this limit the scope of the working group to ONLY the ballroom and the disco room? Margaret replies No.

Daniel says the group was the result of the combination of the ballroom group and the calendar group.

Joe talks about a kitchen that makes one meal for charity for every meal that it sells. He hopes that people using Omni spaces will also give away the metaphorical free meal for every metaphorical meal they sell

Steven says this proposal is about an ongoing collective stewardship of the space.

Kathleen is interested in listening to the commons working group and learning about their process in the context of contemporary museum of Oakland

Don feels the passing of this proposal is premature until there is a more clear proposal

Alexandra reads group proposal again.

Ian reiterates the desire to use space that is modular, shared by the member collectives

Andrew likes the proposal in spirit. Hard without details about gaining income from the ballroom. Hard without a process. Wants to keep the ballroom open for consideration of diverse types of events. How will appropriate events be decided on.

Mia refers to writeup by Daniel who wrote about the ballroom group to the commons working group.

Joe clarifies what the group would do. Notes that the group has lots of power.

Kathleen wants to clarify that the term tenants in the proposal actually means tenants and groups. Niki: yes, both

Don asks what will change if we pass vs. not pass? Niki responds that it would strengthen our position of having common space that can be used by the collectives.

The group considers the proposal as is.

Votes 8 yes, 2 abstain, 0 blocking

Last Minute Stuff
Ben needs keys to the rooms that are locked. Key-havers respond.

No kids at omni, kids with parents in the ballroom for events are probably ok

Adjournment
Proposed Safer Spaces Policy [THIS IS A DRAFT IN PROGRESS - please amend and/or comment!]
1.‭ ‬Purpose
A‭ ‬primary‭ ‬goal‭ ‬of‭ The Omni‭ ‬is‭ ‬to‭ ‬be‭ ‬inclusive‭ ‬of‭ ‬the‭ ‬largest‭ ‬number‭ ‬of‭ ‬contributors,‭ ‬with‭ ‬the‭ ‬most‭ ‬varied‭ ‬and‭ ‬diverse‭ ‬backgrounds‭ ‬possible.‭ ‬As‭ ‬such,‭ ‬we‭ ‬are‭ ‬committed‭ ‬to‭ ‬providing‭ ‬a‭ ‬friendly,‭ ‬safe‭ ‬and‭ ‬welcoming‭ ‬environment‭ ‬for‭ ‬all,‭ ‬especially with regard to race,‭ ‬gender,‭ ‬sexual‭ ‬orientation,‭ ‬ability,‭ ‬ethnicity,‭ ‬socioeconomic‭ ‬status,‭ ‬and‭ ‬religion‭ (‬or‭ ‬lack‭ ‬thereof‭)‬.‭

This‭ ‬code‭ ‬of‭ ‬conduct‭ ‬outlines‭ ‬our‭ ‬expectations‭ ‬for‭ ‬all‭ ‬those‭ ‬who‭ ‬participate‭ ‬in‭ ‬our‭ ‬community,‭ ‬as‭ ‬well‭ ‬as‭ ‬the‭ ‬consequences‭ ‬for‭ ‬unacceptable‭ ‬behavior.

This policy is instituted in recognition and rejection of rape culture as the status quo. Rape culture is that in which sexual assault and other forms of sexual violence are condoned, excused and even encouraged. Rape culture is part of a broader culture of violence, wherein people are socialized to inhabit different positions in hierarchical relationships, to commodify their fellow human beings, and to relate to each other through violence and coercion. It is also rooted in broader systems of oppression such as patriarchy, white supremacy, capitalism, homophobia, transphobia and colonialism and is not separable from them in how and why it is perpetrated, experienced, and dealt with.
[ taken directly from http://www.anarchistbookfair.net/saferspace ]

We‭ ‬invite‭ ‬all‭ ‬those‭ ‬who‭ ‬participate‭ ‬in‭ ‬The Omni ‬to‭ ‬help‭ ‬us‭ ‬create‭ ‬safe‭ ‬and‭ ‬positive‭ ‬experiences‭ ‬for‭ ‬everyone by seeking:

*Safety, healing, and agency for survivors
*Accountability and transformation for people who harm
*Community action, healing, and accountability
*Transformation of the social conditions that perpetuate violence – systems of oppression and exploitation, domination, and state violence

[taken directly from http://www.generationfive.org/the-issue/transformative-justice/]

2.‎ ‏Open‭ ‬Participation
A‭ ‬supplemental‭ ‬goal‭ ‬of‭ ‬this‭ ‬Code‭ ‬of‭ ‬Conduct‭ ‬is‭ ‬to‭ ‬increase‭ ‬open‭ ‬participation‭ ‬by‭ ‬encouraging‭ ‬everyone to‭ ‬recognize‭ ‬and‭ ‬strengthen‭ ‬the‭ ‬relationships‭ ‬between‭ ‬our‭ ‬actions‭ ‬and‭ ‬their‭ ‬effects‭ ‬on‭ ‬our‭ ‬community.

Communities mirror the societies in which they exist and positive action is essential to counteract the many forms of inequality and abuses of power that exist in society.

We encourage everyone to participate by‭ ‬ensuring‭ ‬our‭ ‬community‭ ‬is‭ ‬welcoming and friendly.

3.‎ Safer Space Code of Conduct
‏Expected‭ ‬Behavior
Rather than call-outs, the Omni supports a culture of calling people in to a greater understanding of the intersecting systems of oppression that affect us all. We strive to support each other's growth and learning and acknowledge that we all make mistakes. The Omni seeks conflict resolution strategies that are both transformative as well as honor the needs of survivors. We are not experts at this but we are committed to identifying resources for continued self-education.

*Participate‭ ‬in‭ ‬an‭ ‬authentic‭ ‬and‭ ‬active‭ ‬way.‭ ‬In‭ ‬doing‭ ‬so,‭ ‬you‭ ‬contribute‭ ‬to‭ ‬the‭ ‬health‭ ‬and‭ ‬longevity‭ ‬of‭ ‬this‭ ‬community.
*Exercise‭ ‬consideration‭ ‬and‭ ‬respect‭ ‬in‭ ‬your‭ ‬speech‭ ‬and‭ ‬actions.
*Attempt‭ ‬collaboration‭ ‬before‭ ‬conflict.
*Refrain‭ ‬from‭ ‬demeaning,‭ ‬discriminatory,‭ ‬or‭ ‬harassing‭ ‬behavior‭ ‬and‭ ‬speech.
*Be‭ ‬mindful‭ ‬of‭ ‬your‭ ‬surroundings‭ ‬and‭ ‬of‭ ‬your‭ ‬fellow‭ ‬participants.‭ ‬Alert‭ ‬community‭ ‬leaders‭ ‬if‭ ‬you‭ ‬notice‭ ‬a‭ ‬dangerous‭ ‬situation,‭ ‬someone‭ ‬in‭ ‬distress,‭ ‬or‭ ‬violations‭ ‬of‭ ‬this‭ ‬Code‭ ‬of‭ ‬Conduct,‭ ‬even‭ ‬if‭ ‬they‭ ‬seem‭ ‬inconsequential.

Unacceptable‭ ‬Behavior
Unacceptable‭ ‬behaviors‭ ‬include:‭ ‬intimidating,‭ ‬harassing,‭ ‬abusive,‭ ‬discriminatory,‭ ‬derogatory‭ ‬or‭ ‬demeaning‭ ‬speech‭ ‬or‭ ‬actions‭ ‬by‭ ‬any‭ ‬participant‭ ‬in‭ ‬our‭ ‬community‭ ‬online,‭ ‬at‭ ‬all‭ ‬related‭ ‬events‭ ‬and‭ ‬in‭ ‬one-on-one‭ ‬communications‭ ‬carried‭ ‬out‭ ‬in‭ ‬the‭ ‬context‭ ‬of‭ ‬community‭ ‬business.‭ ‬Community‭ ‬event‭ ‬venues‭ ‬may‭ ‬be‭ ‬shared‭ ‬with‭ ‬members‭ ‬of‭ ‬the‭ ‬public‭; ‬please‭ ‬be‭ ‬respectful‭ ‬to‭ ‬all‭ ‬patrons‭ ‬of‭ ‬these‭ ‬locations.

These are some examples of unacceptable behavior. This list is by no means exhaustive. Harassment includes but is not limited to:

*Offensive comments related to gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, mental illness, neuro(a)typicality, physical appearance, body size, race, or religion
*Unwelcome comments regarding a person’s lifestyle choices and practices, including those related to food, health, parenting, drugs, and employment.
*Deliberate misgendering or use of ‘dead’ or rejected names
*Gratuitous or off-topic sexual images or behaviour in spaces where they’re not appropriate
*Physical contact and simulated physical contact (eg, textual descriptions like “*hug*” or “*backrub*”) without consent or after a request to stop.
*Threats of violence
*Incitement of violence towards any individual, including encouraging a person to commit suicide or to engage in self-harm
*Deliberate intimidation
*Stalking or following
*Harassing photography or recording, including logging online activity for harassment purposes
*Sustained disruption of discussion
*Unwelcome sexual attention
*Pattern of inappropriate social contact, such as requesting/assuming inappropriate levels of intimacy with others
*Continued one-on-one communication after requests to cease
*Deliberate “outing” of any aspect of a person’s identity or history of trauma without their consent except as necessary to protect vulnerable people from intentional abuse
*Publication of non-harassing private communication
<br>
The Omni prioritizes marginalized people’s safety over privileged people’s comfort. The following are NOT sufficient grounds for a complaint by themselves:

*‘Reverse’ -isms, including ‘reverse racism,’ ‘reverse sexism,’ and ‘cisphobia’
*Reasonable communication of boundaries, such as “leave me alone,” “go away,” or “I’m not discussing this with you.”
*Communicating in a ‘tone’ you don’t find congenial
*Criticizing racist, sexist, cissexist, or otherwise oppressive behavior or assumptions

4.‎ ‏Consequences‭ ‬of‭ ‬Unacceptable‭ ‬Behavior
Unacceptable‭ ‬behavior‭ ‬from‭ ‬any‭one at the Omni,‭ ‬including‭ ‬sponsors‭ ‬and‭ ‬those‭ ‬with‭ ‬decision-making‭ ‬authority,‭ ‬will‭ ‬not‭ ‬be‭ ‬tolerated.

Anyone‭ ‬asked‭ ‬to‭ ‬stop‭ ‬unacceptable‭ ‬behavior‭ ‬is‭ ‬expected‭ ‬to‭ ‬comply‭ ‬immediately.
If‭ ‬someone‭ ‬engages‭ ‬in‭ ‬unacceptable‭ ‬behavior,‭ anyone at the Omni‬‭ should feel empowered to take action to address the situation (i.e., talk to the person involved, point out violent or threatening behavior, ask them to leave the space, etc.). In cases where someone's safety is at risk, a temporary ban may be put in place until the Omni's conflict resolution process can be followed to resolution. ‬

<!-- ***suggested addendum from Brel:
"If one collective within the Omni Collective bans someone, this ban must be respected by other collectives within Omni, as well as by the collective as a whole. this is to guarantee the safety needs of individual collectives and the larger collective. It is the responsibility of individual collectives to inform the community of such bans. -->

5.‎ ‏If‭ ‬You‭ ‬Witness‭ ‬or‭ ‬Are‭ ‬Subject‭ ‬to‭ ‬Unacceptable‭ ‬Behavior
This section needs to be fleshed out more - please see it as a draft in progress.

* Everyone should feel empowered to confront aggressive individuals, but we recommend that you do not approach a potentially violent conflict without another community member, preferably a core organizer, co-present.

* If you feel uncomfortable or unsafe for any reason, we encourage you to contact the CDC / Safe Space working group at cdc@lists.omnicommons.org. The confidentiality of any communications sent to this address will be respected and protected (However, if you do wish anything sent to this address to be publicized or distributed, let us know.)

The Omni recognizes that keeping survivors safe means respecting their wishes with regards to privacy and confidentiality.

Additionally,‭ ‬community‭ ‬organizers‭ ‬are‭ ‬available‭ ‬to‭ ‬help‭ ‬community‭ ‬members‭‭ ‬experiencing‭ ‬unacceptable‭ ‬behavior‭ ‬feel‭ ‬safe.‭ ‬In‭ ‬the‭ ‬context‭ ‬of‭ ‬in-person‭ ‬events,‭ ‬organizers‭ ‬will‭ ‬also‭ ‬provide‭ ‬escorts‭ ‬as‭ ‬desired‭ ‬by‭ ‬the‭ ‬person‭ ‬experiencing‭ ‬distress. If desired, the community organizers can help the parties access conflict resolution resources.

6.‎ ‏Addressing‭ ‬Grievances
If‭ ‬you‭ ‬feel‭ ‬you‭ ‬have‭ ‬been‭ ‬falsely‭ ‬or‭ ‬unfairly‭ ‬accused‭ ‬of‭ ‬violating‭ ‬this‭ ‬Code‭ ‬of‭ ‬Conduct,‭ ‬you‭ ‬should‭ ‬notify‭ ‬the CDC working group with‭ ‬a‭ ‬concise‭ ‬description‭ ‬of‭ ‬your‭ ‬grievance.‭ ‬Your‭ ‬grievance‭ ‬will‭ ‬be‭ ‬handled‭ ‬in‭ ‬accordance‭ ‬with‭ ‬our‭ ‬existing‭ ‬conflict resolution policy.‭

7.‎ ‏Scope
We‭ ‬expect‭ ‬all‭ ‬community‭ ‬participants‭ (‬contributors,‭ ‬paid‭ ‬or‭ ‬otherwise‭; ‬sponsors‭; ‬and‭ ‬other‭ ‬guests‭) ‬to‭ ‬abide‭ ‬by‭ ‬this‭ ‬Code‭ ‬of‭ ‬Conduct‭ ‬in‭ ‬all‭ ‬community‭ ‬venues‭—‬online‭ ‬and‭ ‬in-person‭—‬as‭ ‬well‭ ‬as‭ ‬in‭ ‬all‭ ‬one-on-one‭ ‬communications‭ ‬pertaining‭ ‬to‭ ‬community‭ ‬business.

Omni Collective member organizations have identified accessibility for persons with disabilities as a priority. To that end, modifications were made to the Omni building during the post-move buildout to improve accessibility, including the addition of a wheelchair lift.

On September 18, 2014 a Mac’s Lift Gate PL-50 was setup at Omni.

Operation
The passenger should be presented with a sign indicating how to call an attendant, and there should be a convenient and discrete way to do so, such as a buzzer or doorbell system.

# the passenger should move onto the lift platform and, if applicable, lock the brakes on their wheelchair
# the attendant should verify that the passenger is completely in the lift
# the attendant should turn the lift key to the on position
# the attendant should press and hold the appropriate “Up” or “Down” button until the lift stops
# the attendant should turn the key off

When Idle
* The lift platform should be fully raised when it is not in use. This prevents a distracted person from leaving the ballroom and "walking off a cliff”.
* The key should be turned off when the lift is not in use.

Handling Problems
In the event of a power-loss or equipment failure:

# Turn the key off
# Unplug the lift
# Use the manual hand crank (a small black tool stored in the office) to bring the lift gently to the lowered position. The crank slot is on the side opposite the controls, near the top, under a small, easily-removable black plug. It is vital that you do not use the crank when the lift is plugged-in.

Some General Notes
* This is an attendant-operated system, which means that the passenger cannot operate the lift. The lift controls must be operated by an attendant on the ground.
* This is a portable system, which means that it is not anchored into the ground.
* We plan to replace this system with a more permanent installation in the future, when building modification plans have settled a bit.
* The attendant-operated, portable nature of this lift has important legal, insurance, compliance, and safety implications.
* Our amazing installer is Jerry Lawrence of JT Lawrence &amp; Co.. He can be reached at: [tel:800-668-9657 (800) 668-9657]

Specifications
(copied from the manufacturer’s site)

* Lifting height to 50” (4’2”) maximum
* Lifts up to 750 lbs
* Plugs into and runs on household current (110 volt AC)
* Drive system is [quiet] and virtually maintenance free
* Manual back-up hand crank
* 5 year limited warranty

The Building
* It's a 22,000 sq ft building, built as a meeting hall for the Ligure Club in 1933, on Shattuck and 48th. After decades serving as a social hub for members of the Oakland Scavengers club, appropriately enough, a garbage collecting collective, it was transformed into the Omni, a music venue featuring mostly heavy metal and rock that provides the namesake for this project.
** Sketch of possible configuration of Sudo Room / Counter Culture Labs
Construction Projects
Space Features
* a appx 4,000 sq ft, 2 story ballroom / event space with mezzanine
* an industrial kitchen & walk-in freezer (needs fixing up)
* a massive back room with capacity for vertical expansion
* 55'-ish ceilings
* massive basement with windows above street level (currently blacked out)
* a separate room that used to function as a disco (with lighted floor)
* a warren of odd little rooms, a stage, lots of bathrooms, skylights throughout
* a wheelchair lift

Price/Sq Ft
Preliminary estimate of room rates can be found on this spreadsheet.

The rates in the spreadsheet are based on the following assumptions:
* We have a fixed target rent that we have to make every month. You can adjust the rent amount on the Summary sheet.
* We want a specific fraction of that rent to come from dedicated space. Currently set to 50% on the Summary sheet - can be adjusted up if you want to more strongly discourage dedicated space.
* $/sqft for individual rooms are scaled by a quality score. Each +1 in quality correspond to a 10% increase in $/sqft (adjustable from the Summary sheet).
* I've assumed that almost all storage areas will eventually become dedicated space, even if they have not yet been allocated to individual groups yet. I've included those under a separate heading "rented".
* Given the amount of rent we want to get from dedicated space, and the amount of dedicated space all groups want, we can calculate how much we should charge for each room to exactly match the rent.
* Use of the shared space is priced separately, based on how many "shares" each group contributes. We'll need to specify how much use of the shared resources one share corresponds to - e.g. one share could be equivalent to 10 members hanging out at the Omni on a daily basis, or using one of the basement rooms once a week for a 2-hour class, or reserving the ballroom for an event twice a year.
* Groups who also have dedicated space are also required to take on a minimum number of shares proportional to the square footage of their dedicated space. In other words, we don't want groups that will lock themselves into their space and never use the shared space. I have fairly arbitrarily set that minimum number to 1 share per 500 sqft (adjustable from the Summary sheet).
* Groups who do not have dedicated space (or only have a bit of storage space) will need to make an honest calculation of how many "shares" of the shared resources of the building they will need. For now, I have picked the number of shares for BAPS and Oakland Nights Live to match the amount of rent they said they could afford to pay.
* Once we have an allocation of shares in the shared space, we simply divide the remainder of the rent proportional to those shares.
* The calculation of $/sqft for each of the rooms should only need to be done once (possibly updated if and when the total rent goes up, or if we make a policy decision to increase the %rent from dedicated space). The cost per share in the shared space may go up or down over time, depending on how many groups join or leave the Omni, and how much dedicated space actually gets rented. If groups leave, the remaining groups will need to shoulder a larger fraction of the rent, which will be reflected in a higher rate per share of the shared space.
Distribution of Space
Tentative Distribution of Space (Not final, will likely change!)
* Sudo Room: Half bocce ball court room (plus adjacent storage rooms, contingent on their use either for hacker spa, ccl bsl2 lab, or for woodshop/metalshop for sudo to contain any contaminants)
* BAPS: mobile units - based out of a balcony room in the ballroom, having classes in unused space around the building as needed
* Timeless, Infinite Light: 2nd floor, Balcony room above bar, on corner of Shattuck / 48th (NE corner)
* HackerSpa Wellness Center: Cluster of rooms between bar and bocce ball court room
* Counter Culture Labs: North half bocce ball court room (plus adjacent storage rooms, unless the Spa absolutely needs those)
* Food Not Bombs: Shares basement industrial kitchen & food storage area with cafe-bookstore, hopefully serve food too upstairs to the community - either in the cafe, or the ballroom, etc
* La Commune Cafe & Bookstore: Bar area
* Live Space: Disco room in back (NW corner)
* Oakland Nights Live: Uses ballroom area for performances, some storage in the building somewhere
* Celluloid Processing Labs: Part of the basement
* Creative Empowerment Project: Part of basement (screenprinting gear)
* Peak Agency: most likely in common space only, for workshops and skillshares

Use of Shared / Common Space
* Schedule-able shared spaces around the building
* Ballroom (scheduled mostly as per current Common room)
* Parts of the basement (including three 200 sqft rooms and a 1200 sqft space that can be used as classrooms)
* Bookstore / Cafe

Use of Space
* How do we envision using the space?
** To collaborate on projects
** To host classes and performances
** To network, meet each other, welcome newcomers
** To store resources for common use (or equitably restricted)
*Concerns about use of space
** Will there be commercial activity in the space?
*** Yes, bookstore/cafe will operate as businesses
** will profit-sharing be required of profitable endeavors?
*** Ideally, consensus can be reached that profitable endeavors can help to subsidize rent/mortgage/property taxes

Financial Information
** Expenses
*** Move-in Costs
*** Monthly Rent
