* Laura - spoke with lawyer Stephany recommended. SHe woldn't comment on the specific situation but said it sounded like Jesse knew what he was talking about.

* Laura - emailed Stephaney an agenda for a meeting next Monday at 2:30 and said we wanted to meet every two weeks after that.

* Mary Ann: Are there any taxes we can get back now that we are 501c3, like city business taxes?

* Marcus - Capital Needs Assessment. Spoke with two different groups off Stephaney's list.
** Susan Atkin from Basis Architecture. SHe sent an email asking for more information. How long of a time period? ASk for 10 and 20 year quotes. It will take them a couple days of people coming in to look at the buildiing and then another 7 days for the report.
** Elizabeth Maclochlan - very rough estimate of $4000, with a timeline of 10-15 business days for full report

= Grants & Loans =
* End of year fundraising letter? Would be good to announce buying the building with ask. Need a couple of people to work on this.
** MaryANn says Arnoldo from CSC is really good at making a letter poetic and beautiful. She would be willing to work on this w Brian
* ABDC sent in Alt Ex grant.
* Mary Ann working on Gladys Valley, needs more precise information
* From Grace: I am working on these nominations for the Oaklandish awards!
So far I've written one from BAPS and am in the midst of writing them for Liberated Lens and the Global Communications youth group.

Since no one responded to the emails I'm just planning on writing nominations for as many as I can manage in the next month, but if anyone especially wants their collective to be nominated, feel free to email me and let me know. It's a pretty easy form, but especially if there isn't information about your collective online, it would be really helpful to have a quick summary of your activities, as well as an estimate of your annual budget. (Or if you'd rather not be nominated for whatever reason let me know too)

A few people volunteered to have their names put down as nominees too -- if you're down to let me use your name on a nomination form, please let me know as well!
