* laura: fnb, phat beets, & liblens are all 501c3s / projects of 501c3s. different grant collaborations possible, multiple grants could cover the costs. came up with maybe 6 or 7 potential grants. would like help writing the grants. need to look at the 'sell' for each grant and how to portray the collaboration
** gerald: cites 'the revolution will not be funded' re: nonprofit industrial complex. ensure no funds go to individuals, and also that some percentage of any grants received goes to the omni. fight against alienation, keep things egalitarian wrt participation.
* joe: different grants for different parts of the kitchen?
** laura: based on what they want to fund..
*** jenny: for CAST grant, had a specific $40K line item budget, but also included the larger budget
* laura: need someone from each group to be grant-writing contact
** jenny: can reach out to helen from fnb about that
* dk: discretionary year-end grants from Rainin Foundation... informal process, reach out to their board. East Bay Community Foundation has $10K grants available, talked omni up a lot. think they would be receptive. Health Dept worksheets for info.

"I have prices for commercial kitchen work from tamarack some of which would be very similar for what omni needs. Ie new greasetraps, boiler, stoves, sinks / appliances / fixtures, new floor & wall surfacing
* you should get quote from ricky or ALBA glass for windows
* Should also get quote for dumbwaiter to basement just careful not to overlap with the only place an elevator could go
* Can't use existing greasetraps & should determine if psl was in fact installed with backflow preventer valve or not.. not sure that was determined but omni kitchen would need.
** That psl permit actually may be expired ie didn't have a final, chad was in hospital and I couldn't get thru to him"
