• should have held onto all that chain link from when we moved in
• ran out of plastic-hooked nails for running ethernet

south wall

• passed electrical & insulation inspection! sheetrocking is happening
• joe wanted the sheetrock to go straight across the beams upstairs, but they left gaps in the beams. rob was gonna put in pieces later, but joe thinks inspector might not like seeing small pieces on the second course
• screws every 12 inches
• does inspector want to see the drywall before acoustic caulk, after, or both?
  • it's steve johnson, a gamelon player
• put panels back on the lower level, but upstairs maybe black paint?
• all the bookshelves from downstairs won't cover the whole wall
• rob wants to put in the old flourescents
• do we have money for caulk? check ashby lumber, pacific supply

• bicycle music festival needs it nice on the 20th

• we didn't like the glass design
• matt wants to let her down gently, "let's try again"
• don't want to bikeshed. do something abstract, simpler, cheaper, and move on.

wheelchair bathroom

• joe: retiling those big wall area exactly would be hard, but doesn't need to be tile
• at the bottom corners, cove
• on the walls, use dimensional lumber. might have to sand, or have tile on that.
• yar will ask marina if she wants to mosaic it
• look for coved tile at urban ore
• behind the toilet, put in framing members. greenrock or purplerock? purple is moisture resistant, we have extra 1/2 inch. maybe durock ontop of that
• what kind of caulk or epoxy would pass health code? dunno. joe mentions top shelf, but as long as epoxy is glossy you're good

Why: Omni Commons needs some serious elbow grease to get ship-shape, for the safety, accessibility, and delight of all!

• Doors (re-hanging and installing closers)
• Carpentry in the basement
• Plumbing, tile, and other water-related activities
• Drywall 'til you drop
• Felt the feet of our ballroom furniture
• Protect our building from confused critters like pigeons!

Subject: Work parties every Saturday afternoon

Omni Commons will be hosting regular work parties on Saturday afternoons (starting at 12 noon) from now on. Come any Saturday to help fix up Omni! It's a great way to get involved!
