Discussion

  • DK: Apparently whoever's running the door needs to have a business tax license
  • DK: Whomever signs the contract to rent a room/space (e.g. ballroom) has to have a biz tax lic.
    • Jenny: Perhaps an opportunity for the Omni point person to run the door, making the event technically hosted by Omni, and thus the income from the event rental could be considered charitable
  • DK: Re: Alcohol, a nonprofit can pull an ABC 221 alcohol event permit for something like $25-50 (capped at once a month)
    • Jenny: Btw, sudo has 501c3 now
