Action Items from Last Week

  • Use the trello for the current tasks; keep open at meetings to update

Projects in Progress

south wall

  • laura was going to ask the folks giving a quote on the exterior siding about putting windows in there
  • need to schedule a work day to finish it up - maybe Saturday, Aug 26th? - robb will coordinate with yar
    • we'll do it that day if not earlier
  • robb will call children's hospital day before to schedule opening the gate

wheelchair bathroom

next step: email inspector proposing an AMMR

  • leave in urinals
  • one page description, inspector has to sign it
  • "alternative means to meet the present code"
  • jenny & robb installed soap dispenser

Painting the entrance hall

  • white heron? windfresh white?
  • jenny will procure paint this week
  • need to organize a work party to prep the walls - spackling

rats

  • robb finds them in CCL traps in the mornings
  • robb put borax + sugar in the upstairs kitchen to kill roaches
  • incorporate with the work party - block off the superhighway in the basement duct leading to 48th
  • pour concrete? cinderblocks? measure the "ratline" (basement duct to street)
  • will need facemasks full hazmat suits

Downstairs kitchen remodel

  • no news since last week
  • budgeted for 52k? - that was a combined ballroom / kitchen budget for a kiva loan
  • lots of decisions unclear regarding the plan and thus the cost. need a new meeting

can we separate this kitchen project into phases? what would a minimal phase 1 be?

  • future kitchen meeting: david, max cadji/phat beets, ken, joe, sierk, anka & tuan, yar, jenny, ryan g
  • jenny will start a new, full kitchen budget sheet (talk to dk)
  • phase 1: walls, windows, fire suppression (quoted at $5K by john@genesis-fire.com)

Front door opener

  • we just need to go get the brackets

  • plumbing stripped
  • if it snaps again and starts leaking...
  • measure it, get the right faucet
  • need to turn off water to whole building
    • also put in shutoff valves this time so we don't have to do that again
  • hose spigot? mop sink?

home depot run

  • jenny & robb/sierk, sometime this week
  • 2 heavy duty brackets for front door opener
  • paint for entrance hall
  • projector mounting gear for stage

Fundraising for Building Projects
