Discussion Items
- The finance wg has discovered that GCEA's fiscal sponsor, Oakland Public Education Fund, has terminated their relationship for breach of contract. Also, they never authorized ALmaz to sign their lease, which is actually with the fiscal sponsor. so the GCEA lease is invalid. That has a variety of implications, but for this wg it means GCEA has to sign a contract for all events.
- Almaz says the Oakland Public Education fund was asking for too much money to be sponsored, GCEA have their own nonprofit status. Almaz will send EIN number to Laura, and Finance. They will sign a new lease.
