Door locks

  • Philip - quote on front door plus disco room physical locks. Have parts for unify system and will install disco room door first.
    • +$150 per door depending how they are wired

Events

  • Philip - going back to policy of locking sound booth. 2 fundraiser events coming. This Sat 4-8pm; 9-1am private event. Checked with city official - will get back to us on which permits are missing. Can check with DK about grandfathered Cabaret license. Also checking with Sarah and Jake on fire egress maps. Will make sure we have some Omni volunteers present during Sat events, especially late night.
  • Philip: set up events.omnicommons.org subdomain; can assign email accounts. Can set up e.g. steward.omnicomons.org for other email accounts
    • Azadeh: as long as we get to approve everybody who gets an official @steward email
      • bookkeeper, any Omni officers and delegates (if they need one), existing delegates mailing list

website broken?

  • Events pages are broken right now. Was working yesterday
  • Wordpress site - is it worth switching to e.g. Squarespace?

FNB fridge

  • Toan - received grant for fridge from Alamed Cty foodbank. Wants to set up across from walkin. Replacing broken ANV fridge. Can chip in for more rent money.
    • Philip: also one broken fridge in basement
    • Patrik: CCL may have 1/2 size broken fridge - with ewaste? Might as well do all 3 in one trip
    • Azadeh: community dump days - how often? do they accept fridges? will look up
    • Patrik: wasn't really expecting additional rent for this. May want to wait to see how CAST plans to run things in terms of square footage used for fridges. https://www.oaklandca.gov/services/bbp

Property taxes

  • Christina (email) - It looks like they did finally apply a 43% welfare exemption so we no longer need to complain to Phong La that they are taking forever to do something they told us months ago could happen right away.
    • Do we have a final number yet? Does the July 1st deadline still apply?
      • Patrik replied to Christina by email asking for more info

Conflicts

CAST

  • Shreya (email) - We'd love to have a critical mass of the membership in attendance, and propose connecting on Monday or Tuesday evening to give everyone a little more time to invite folks. Can we aim for 6-7pm on Monday or Tuesday? Tuesday is preferred for us. Delegates, can you all take the lead on inviting your members and other organizations' members?
    • Prefer Monday: Pallavi, Margot, KO,
    • Prefer Tuesday: CAST, Patrik, Azadeh
  • Let's go with Tuesday 6-7pm!
  • Everybody invited? Should we try to make this a hybrid meeting?
    • Philip: If in person, basement has better audio
    • Patrik: let's ask CAST which zoom account to use
  • Philip: should I write up my own LOI in case this doesn't work out, as a backup? If I were to come in with my org it would be to steward the building as well. I would need to start this process right now.

  • Patrik - I think CCL and SR could reduce some space if necessary

CCL missing chairs

  • Patrik - 10 of our yellow chairs are missing. All plastic, office chairs. Bought 24, now only have 14. Whole stack disappeared within last couple of months. Someone asked to borrow with walk through with the tax assessor but not sure if that was ever done.
