- Matt: Met a mortgage advisor at a social event this weekend. Has her card. Will contact her this week.
- MaryAnn: Has been looking for potential grants. Thinks we need something big right away. Grant cycles mean that we wouldn't get anything for 10 months. Conference tomorrow on non-profits not being able to afford rent. East Bay Community Foundation https://ncg.org/events/sold-out-return-sender-where-will-we-send-our-funding-when-nonprofits-don-t-live-here-anymore MaryAnn approached someone she knows with money about a friendly loan. They are willing to loan but through Kivazip and will get a couple of others who will also loan. Long discussion about KivaZip. Matt will aso send her our promissary note to see if he is willing to lend directly. If not, then we will revisit.
501c3 Application
Jesse sent some questions related to accounting. Will bring up at finance meeting on Thursday
Mortgage Application
- CHuck did not respond if attorney letter + donor trust bank statemetn is adequate evidence of donation
- Need to send him rent roll and updated proforma
Finance reform discussion at delegates meeting
- Matt presented the list. People heard it but will prob need to be repeated. Doubt that delegates will forward list/communicate with collectives.
- Marc blocked reduction of Buried Seeds rent. Rep from potential future member collective was supportive of Buried seeds. Clash of points of view.
- Did decide to empower wgs to have have open house for renters asap and set an addtional potential delegate meeting to discuss potential renters/collectives
- No one raised objections to new lease terms.
New Renter/Member Open House

- At commons wg meeting, determine what spaces are open, draft ad
- Cleanup/dump run
- Publicize in house, rent discount if your referral becomes member or tenant?
- Line up volunteers to give tours
