CDC Meeting Times
- Changing our meetings to every Sunday at 3 pm starting on Sunday, May 17.
- Rotating "bottom-liners" for every week. Bottom-liners would check in with CDC list on Fridays to see if people are planning to come to the meeting. Julio will bottom-line May 17 meeting.
Party planning
- There may be a conflict in the ballroom on the 24th. If the capoeira group has been confirmed, maybe we could move the date of our party to June 14 to coincide with the restorative justice training? That won't work because the restorative justice training will be a day-long event.
- Reschedule for Sunday, May 31 from 3 - 7 pm in La Commune
- Check in with point person of Afghan Bay Area Spokescouncil
- SP to send an email to the commons/booking working groups so everyone knows about the party.
- Have people self-identify what kinds of topics they want to discuss.
- Activity that Jenny & Noemie led with people sharing what they've been struggling with.
- Maybe begin activity in pairs?
CDC visitor
- Carol, who works with a 12-step program to combat the effects of dominant culture in Berkeley, stopped by to find out more about the Omni and the CDC.
Restorative Justice trainings
- North Oakland Restorative Justice Council is hosting a training for the community on May 30.
- Restorative justice training from Julie will happen on June 14, 10 am - 5 pm.
