7PM TUESDAY NIGHTS

- What are the basic responsibilities of a Member Group?
- A Lottery for Undesirable Tasks
- 6-month Trial period for Groups
Tenancy
- We discussed the need to clearly define the role of tenants of the Omni (vs. member groups). We crafted the following proposals to define the role and scope of tenancy within the OOC:
- Tenants are defined as those groups renting space from the Omni who choose not to participate in the collective of collectives (i.e., attending delegate meetings, participating in working groups, etc.).
- Tenants must agree to the Omni's safer space and conflict resolution policies, statement of solidarity, and all pertinent decisions made by the collective of collectives. Tenants will not have voting rights at the weekly delegates' meetings.
- All tenants will sign a 6 month sub-lease with the OOC.
- In order for there to be an active core of member groups participating in the OOC, the ratio of tenants to member collectives should not exceed 30% tenants to 70% member groups.
Defining member groups
- Jenny Ryan reviewed the proposal she drafted over the summer to elaborate the characteristics and roles of member collectives of the Omni.
- We agreed to use Jenny's proposal as a skeleton to start to flesh out what it really means to be a member collective.
- Once we have something that we confident to circulate, we discussed using an online voting tool to poll others in the Omni about their thoughts.
