Damage deposit and refund process in Quickbooks

- Authorize funds
- authorized funds are for 7 days - then they
- put authorization in 10 days to guarantee event, but might expire in 7 days, so need to authorize again day of event
- alternatives to CC: take cash or check (and actually deposit it, then refund)

Specifics of when you need damage deposit
- When do we need damage deposit?
- If you need event insurance, then you need a damage deposit
- If you're having an event using significant equipment or a significant chance that there is an opportunity for cleanup
- if it is a financial burden, then email the group, but seek active consent from the group if you want to do othewise.

- Veteran’s PATH 1-Day Pathfinder Event (3/18) no follow-up, so deleted
- Worker’s Discussion Group (3/18) - PP Julio; recurring event contract and invoice in place
- Presentation by Özlem Yasak (3/18) - PP Robb;
- The Reparations Tour (3/21) - decided to not follow up - deleted
- Amadeo (experimental theater) 3/23 - Lynn emailed - unlikely to happen
- Funxtaz CPLi Everything Mushroom Workshop (3/25) Robb: contract signed, Julio sent invoice
- Spring Dance fundraiser for Teachers and Mentors (3/31) - PP:Robb
- Comedy Show (4/7) Lynn: is $1200 enough for full house w/alcohol (gross $4000)
- Poll worker Training (4/16 onwards) Julio talked to them - wanted for free - not doing it - deletd

- Enforce 1 security per 50 people; suggest CRC.
- Joe: review upcoming events for any that might require strict security
- Katrina to research alternatives to 911
- Julio to try to get a workshop for Alternatives for Mental Health Emergencies
- Joe to call the Event Helper to get guidance
