Expectations for events

• BioHack event case study
  • Trash left out?
  • Chairs left out
• Review contract to see that it says they need to take all their trash with them and need to put everything back in the room where it belongs
• Make sure all expectations are clear and someone from a collective or working group has taken ownership to make sure everything happens
• Avoid special considerations for member collective events
• Julio and Laura will make some time to update the contract to clarify this and other redundant or extraneous information.
• New guidelines: Events hosted by collectives should have a contract if they are more than their regular operations
  • CCL large events, large CSC events
  • Contract not needed for LL film nights (they are a project of the Omni)
  • If in doubt, ask the group before publishing an event
• Feedback from CCL for us from their event: good to have a flowsheet for event permits. Michael will draft one and bring it to review and use. Sink behind bar was really disgusting. Deep cleaning needed.

Pending Event Requests

• Communication skills: confronting interpersonal violence (10/13-14) 10am-2pm PP: Robb, no update
• Night of the Living Dead Revolutionaries: (Sat 10/27) BR PP? Laura emailed, but can't be there. Asked list if anyone can be.
• The Basic Byebye Show (10/26) PP Laura: Offering Proposing $250 + another 250 after they get $1250, then 80/20 split of $15-25 donation notaflof = $3400 if 230 people donate average of $15 so we would get an additional $380 for a total of $880. No sound or lighting needed. They have agreed to this and Laura has to write contract.
• Song for Mapuche (10/28) PP Joe; Going slow. Trying to get ABC permit. Still working on this.
• Private Event (11/3): PP Laura needs to folow up
• California FNB (11/10): PP: Joe, needs contract!
• Emerging Illusions fashion show (11/10) PP Joe. Want ot know about dressing space, but haven't come to look at space. No update?
• EBAlternative Book and Zine Fest (12/08): PP Laura: Published
• Jack’s Rockin’ 21st Birthday Party! (1/19): PP: Laura: they are coming to see the space.
• Tuning Project (1/28) PP: Laura. Have to write up the contract, still working on details

• EBDSA General Meeting (Oct, Nov, Dec) PP Julio, September done, working on 3 future months. they will not start before noon
• Capoeira - Have paid. Are changing to M, W, Th
• BAAM - Recurring event: All set, have paid
• Gurdjieff - published, contract signed, paid
• Private event (weekly) - need to update billing
• East Bay Fusion (monthly) - autopilot
• CDP (monthly) - need to update billing
