cdc

finance

  • After paying rent, we are going to be at $12000, $1000 below reserve. But there is a grant comming thorugh. We are about $7000 in the red every month, we bring in $9500 in rent. Events brought in $4300 this month.
  • Pay your invoices
  • If you using creditcards, keep reciepts and give them back to CC holders
  • If you are bottomlining a construction project, submit a budget before hand
  • It would be nice to know what categories your expenses come from, eg: maintainance, repairs, etc.
  • Insurance costs that we havent been spliting up (general liability, and officers) ($898)
  • With two new collectives costs would be about the same with the added insurance
  • Good to have a list of all the insurance that omni and each collective is required to have and (roughly) what is covered to see if we can leverage a "bulk" deal.
  • vote to split new insurance ( 7 Yes , 2 abstain), PASS

fundraising

Follow up from last weeks' request for FR support from collectives Activity to generate lists of contacts outside the Omni who we can approach for donations and other FR support Will need about 30 minutes if possible!+ some time to show the FR video

kitchen

  • walkins are coming, but needs to be transplanted
  • What is the status of Phatbeats (interested in sharing the fridge)

permits

building modifications and bans

Sudo Room consented on a 1 month ban of person who was using a knife to attempt to open the omni door and when confronted was super rude, calling one of our members a bitch. Person was drunk. Juul and others kicked this person out Wednesday and told him that him he was banned until it could be brought up at todays meeting where he could show up. He looked disheveled and was holding a can of beer but seemed otherwise reasonable and attempted to defend his attempt at opening the door as trying to demonstrate a security problem and said he wished to apologize to the person he was rude to. Sudo Room consented that any further sleeping by ChrisB at Omni will result in an immediate temporary ban.

cleaning

  • Temporary arrangement to clean bathrooms and dispose of trash properly and clean the refrigerators

  • More clarity on what it means to "take care of", groups could take notes and figure it what works
  • Brenden: Sudoroom wants to establish a protacal for trash
  • Steven: People don't feel liberated to do the work, we want to you to figure it out and take responsibility
  • David: We should build a chore wheel, we are all strewards of the commons, we should have a budget for cleaning supplies, we should clean garfiti, for dump runs, we can take the red truck when ever we want to! Use that truck!
  • Cere: Two bins have been ordered, if there is an overflow with the recycling, must be in the bin or bailed together.
    • Todo: Need to sort out official omni stance on casual drug use.
