SOUTH WALL SOUNDPROOFING

  • Sean is point person
  • Blow in insulation?
  • Joe: not industry standard anymore. Now insulate AND
  • how much Sound Transmission Coefficient/Noise
  • How much noise is leaking?
    • Spaz people did decibel reading
      • Didn't have
      • Sean will try to get that reading from spaz
    • 90 decibels might Cabaret law limit
  • Aiming to have this work done first 2 weeks in May

SEQUENCE OF WORK

  • Find out how much sound is coming out
  • get numbers about what sound deadening stuff works how much
  • DK is going to send an email to Brian and CC Sean Logan
  • DK: We should leave it to Brian's discretion
    • Maybe we can authorize a few hours professional labor for consulting
      • $150/hour for Brian
  • Jim (architect) might consult for cheap (up to now free)
    • Jim consult with Brian. Brian tell Jim what to mock up on Autocad
    • Contact Seb or Johnny to get decibel equipment and do a sound check under Seb's supervision

    • need to be disconnected - any exposed conduit needs to be inflexible so all the stuff in walls must be destroyed

    • since we have to raise transom may as well change everything

Building & Fire

INSPECTIONS

  • If inspectors think we are using the building we get a set amount of time to finish project
  • If we are actually working on stuff it's not as scary
  • City wants us to succeed and probably won't send over surprise inspection BUTTTTT
  • Commercial Kitchen

BASEMENT KITCHEN

    • Involve Phat Beets
    • Make up air
    • stove - mechanical inspection - don't say we fixed it - it's grandfathered in
      • need to clean out pilot holes
      • may need new ranges
    • Ansel fire suppression - max knows a good person for $2k
    • Disassemble roof fire suppression
      • Disassemble exhaust hood on the roof for the kitchen stove fan, writing down the model number for the fan
    • windows

    • knock out wall? When?
    • Ask Antonio to do official basement kitchen ($160/visit)
  • Price out kitchen fixes
  • Going to wait for building officials to tell us that we need to replace the stove.
  • Get Phat Beets involved, start a regular kitchen meeting with them?

Planning

  • DK, Sean f, and Joe will go over everything & puzzle out how all to deal with plans, and introduce to planners
  • Together make decisions about what kind of goals want to aim for

ADA BATHROOM

  • Can't get inspected til La Commune wall is done
  • Need to close holes (?)
  • Liasing with John Givens - Joe?
    • Should also be Board President
    • He loves candy
    • More frequent, short (less than an hour), frequent meetings are best. Perhaps meet on the weekly?
    • Replaced the skylights in sudo/ccl as a nice thing to do for us, could potentially be convincd to do the same thing for the ballroom

CCL PLUMBING

  • put mop sink in ADA bathroom
  • Running pipe under the hallway to sudo/ccl to the bathroom there
  • Need to make sure to get John's approval on all major building repairs
  • Any unlicensed contractor work we do must be done by a MEMBER
