Meeting Minutes 5/4/2015

Attendees

• Laura, Steve Orth (La Commune liason), Ross, Egon, Jenny, Matt, Patrik, Sean F, Sean L briefly for update

Meeting Time

• Proposal on the table to change the weekly meeting time to accommodate DK's schedule
• Matt will send a Doodle

Convo with David

• Jenny and Joe met with DK and fire supression guy, then with DK
• Joe expressed concerns of group to David
• DK was concerned that Mike would move on to other proejcts if we didn't use him.
• Jenny will meet with him every weekk on Tuesday esp for documenting what ahs been done.
• Then took 3 hours to make lists of action items.
• There should be a permit strategy meeting to apply for all permits at once, inc LC electrical

Action Items Needing Point People:

• Re-open ADA permit (see notes/narrative about ADA bathroom, contact Yar or DK)
• Permit Strategy Meeting: Need to tie permits together and apply for them at the same time (electrical, plumbing, ADA) Sean, Joe, DK, Matt?
  • Jenny will put historical permit docs in OwnCloud
  • Review permit history (docs in the Cloud)
• La Commune electrical permit
• Schedule an inspection by next month - ping David re: which inspections and timeline [Jenny]
• Talk to La Commune's architect about the struts they're putting in - get Tony to do this work? - La Commune is meeting with Tony on Sunday the 10th, then they'll know their timeline [Steve]

Action Items with Point People:

• Arrange Electric meeting w/ a rep from every collective w/ electrical needs to review and create plans (eg; load on each circuit) [Joe]
• Set up weekly meetings w/ John outside of Omni - Joe's house on Wednesday mornings? [Joe & DK]
• Meet w/ architect Jim Gallagher on drawing up plans for proposed wall move for the basement kitchen [DK & Joe--maybe add Anka??]
• Write up building receipts [Jenny & DK]
• Ping Marc re: computing KVA load spreadsheet [Jenny]
• Ballast work party [Jenny pinging Jake] - Matt will help with this
• Write up scope for Mike's next (final?) chunk of work: Lighting for stairs, exit signs, abating circuit overload with house lines 7 and 8 [Jenny & DK]
• Coordinate work parties for the ballroom soundproofing [Jenny w/ Sean L, Ross, Matt, Sean F, etc] - probably on May 9th?

Ballroom Plans

• Check with David about getting the plans soon enough to finish by the 16th. Forward the plans to the buiding list as soon as they are available.
• Prob 1 day to get permit
• It was explained to Sean L how to get funds for work

Updates

  • Building approves $203 expense
• Sean and Shawn demolished the balcony upstairs part of the south wall, removed the trim - that wall's ready to go. Jim is drawing up the plans and bill of materials, need final confirm and budget request
• DK reorganized secure storage room (yay!)

Fire Suppression Bid

• 14 total in the building
• 14 x $15 inspection & certification annually
• Building approves this budget
• Jenny will follow up with John

Fire Inspection - Claus

• Laura will ask Roan to coordinate a walkthrough with Claus this week
• Laura will invite him to come and give a reportback at the next meeting

Electrical Documentation

• Matt and Patrik are working on finishing documenting the subpanels
• Document all the outlets in peoples spaces - a task for Power Fridays (meet at 10am)
• This Friday mapping all the panels and circuits in Rise Above

Front Door

• Joe: To update front door project - DK now sees that the idea of opening up the LC wall is nt doable. so we are talking about grinding down the cement at the current front door. of course this will involve resetting the "Ligure Club" tile work, and DK has someonw to do that.

• Exit light from the Disco Room (on the other side of the Disco Room) needs to be replaced
• Exit light in the stairwell leading to the Disco Room needs to be replaced

• Jenny will ask DZ if he can be building liaison for La Commune
• Joe: Use a level to measure the grade for two possible front entrances (for ada) at 48th St vs Shattuck
