South Wall:

  • Finding best price insulation: Rockwall vs conventional fiberglass
  • DK: Fill out draft 2 of soundwall budget by EOD.
  • Joe:
    • Need someone to help pick up materials, large pieces of wood
    • insulation on south wall - roxul/rockwool or fiberglass? - compare costs, etc
  • schedule: what is potential interference/displesure from renters
  • check schedule ballroom schedule to see if any daytime events might interefere with build schedule?
  • picking up another load of lumber - who? someone should. Ed - tomorrow. Actually - today
    • Ed's truck may be available, Niki's truck available
    • 30x 92" 2x4's - must be straight - does not need to be kiln-dried or treated - but MUST be straight
    • 9x 16' 2x4's - as per above
    • 16x 12' 2x4's for top plates
  • Need to also soundproof inside the closet and the stage offices. Resilient channel (RC1)
    • Check Economy Lumber as well as Home Depot
    • Economy Lumber - 12', 25 gauge - $2.75/piece
    • Home Depot - 12', $4.17 / each
  • Fiberglass w/ backing - $64
  • Roxul - $98 for same area - would need little pieces of masonite for holddowns
    • Home Depot pallet - $476 for 12 bags
  • Roxul at Lowes - 23" x 47" x 3" at $61.32

Doors:

  • We have one closer (the expensive one, closes very slowly) - should install it in the ballroom inner door by the lift
  • Panic bar and mechanical override arriving tomorrow
  • Anka will be working with Dusty to install and test this setup
  • Other doors where we might want a fancier closer: 48th St hallway door, Sudo/CCL door, Icarus/ticketbooth room door (?)
  • They sell electric strikes that are integrated with the panic bar - looking into that (~$400)
  • Locks for ballroom doors to indicate definitely private event
  • Handsome Jack down to furbish us some 2-3' doors in his woodshop, free in about a week and a half

Other:

  • A1 Paper - from Inkstone at College & Bancroft
  • Paying for permit
