Event Proposals:

• Dragon:
  • Voodoo / Santeria Community Event in the ballroom sometime after June 20th. 100-200ppl.
  • Afropunk Festival first week of November. Multi-day / multi-venue
  • Fundraise for trip to Ghana by using healing space for sliding scale massage
    • Niki and Laura will meet with Dragon on Weds June 10th at noon to discuss details
• Gabe:
  • Bicycle Music Festival - Sept 20th in the ballroom. Would like to set up day before and break down day after. Offering $1000 Jake is willing to be the responsibilibuddy for this event. Anticipating 500-1000 ppl

• aikido class - ben's not here,someone told ben that they email aikido about concerns and haven't heard back niki deleted
• SpaZ First Fridays Art Show with Music - see notes above, we will put on calendar for 1st fridays (excepting August)
• Isaura’s Brazilian Workshop of Dance, Rhythm, Chant with Live Percussion 6/6 3-6: will approve once Niki checks with event in disco room on loudness - Niki will check in w/Isaura
• EFF Speakeasy Meetup - Jenny, how much are they paying?
  • Published
• Playback Theatre workshop for our ensemble 7/5 9:30-5:30 ballroom SOmeone needs to talk to them about what they are offering, or be pp - Niki emailed for more info, not committing to pp yet
• Heart of Community Dinner: Living Sustainably Together in Oakland - niki emailed
• IMYP Book and T-Shirt Release - needs pp. prob shoud be moved to disco room - Jesse is pp
• Tarot workshops
  • noemie will pp
  • we should consider charging them a little bit more. she's charging $25-35 per person so $15/hour for the space is not a lot
• Healers/daisy world tour kick off - Laura will email but wont be day of pp - are they really asking for the basement? as of 6/6 I have gotten in touch with organizer but we haven't discussed details
• New music at the Omni! The Town Quartet plays local composers. - niki emailed lewis
• weaving radical journalism in mexico
  • yar still needs someone to explain how to be pp these days. feels like a lost n00b
• Benefit for Emilia: kicking leukemia’s ass - complicated event. Jenny will email. - Niki spoke with organizer who is still working on some details. Niki said she would hold it on the calendar although it is not confirmed. NIki will follow up. Give to end of month to decide
• Stay Brown Stay Down Fest - After 3rd email, Brenda hasn't responded
• Takun Takun (“move -move”/”Shake it “in Farsi) Persian DJ Dance Party Fundraiser - Noemie in touch, taking it slow
• Building Our Future: 15 Years of A World Without Prisons - Event is progressing will publish when contaract is signed prob next week.
• Lyn Hejinian (Ballroom): Ask Stephen - Laura emailed. He will take on for now, but can't guarentee he will be at events
