South wall

• Bottom level almost finished
• Walls framed for upstairs
• put wires up today (to hold up the fiberglass)
• shot foam into cracks near the west end
• Calvin Lee is our plan checker for the city. DK waiting until he is the engineer of the day to get permit.
• Laura and Yar + whoever will go to city tomorrow to finish permit, after talking to DK. Joe will orient on plans
• Joe is leaving this Saturday for 10 days (Sat 13th - Tue 23rd)
• We should aim for 1st inspection of framing the week of the 15th

what's left?

• joe's got another 3 days of work (not thursday)
• will hopefully finish the framing for inspection
• will get the two ends of the bottom wall, by the closet & staircase

basement

• rob cut out moldy parts of the drywall. too soggy to scrub.
• temporarily patched the holes with boards - foam, wood, etc
• used a steam cleaner + borax
• framing is still deteriorated - the footer wood is rotten, crumbling
• ideally we'd replace framing if we ever get more money
• priority is to pass fire inspection so let's just cover it with drywall, will look fine
• will that be fire safe?
• joe says it wouldn't be that hard to just put cripples on the bottom

doors

• anka & dusty working on doors tomorrow
• hallway door to sudo/ccl is poorly hung. frustrating.

front door

• nothing's happening
• city didn't like our idea
• they're putting in the opener
• it's too low but we're gonna do it anyway

bathroom

• yar still hasn't treated the concrete. trying to find the bucket of stuff again.
• do we need more womens' bathrooms?
• fire doesn't care about that. whole other can of worms.

DIsco Room

• Joe finished taping drywall facing LC
• empty socket with no bulb, no globe/cover, no exposed wires up in the ladder closet thingy

hole in the west wall

• should we insulate the DR hole before closing it? tyvek? denim? might need weather proofing
• will the drywall overlap? will that look bad? we could hang a picture or a mirror over it
• entire wall of the dance floor has a U-channel, all ready for mirrors. just need to set them in & tack them. just need to find them the right height or cut them.
• should we frame it? silicone it?
  • no, as long as it's closed, it's fine. screws, spackle, done.
  • but the edges will look weird
  • we'll figure it out tomorrow

kitchen

• meeting tomorrow with max, sophia chang (the kitchener), sal (actual cafe)

Other Reports

• laura's working through the big list piece by piece
• talk about covering more lightbulbs
• gerald wants to get LC ceiling tiles gone, but those are necessary for the cafe to operate
  • laura will contact gerald to take on some of the small electrical jobs and filling in ceiling tile
  • roan has other stuff going on, unable to work right now
• ballroom bathroom grafitti's getting better. more diverse. because joe is writing it.
• storage closet shelves are caving in / bowing. need to be redone.
• trash room is a mess. people aren't sorting it because not enough bins clearly labelled. laura will buy some 3-in-1 bins
