Omni "Building" working group meeting - Monday September 7, 2015

Attendees

Updates

  • Bunch of conversation about things utterly unrelated to the building wg.
  • Finished repairs to basement "stage"

Report-back on Saturday's work party

  • Next time, supply coffee or mate :)
  • Completed: Dump run, basement stage clearing, south wall work

South Wall

  • First layer of drywall completed! Next step is the green glue layer before the second layer of drywall goes up.
  • Need to tackle cleaning closet with same set of layers - could hold off til after final inspection
  • Will schedule next inspection after caulking is finished.

Front Door

  • Matt and Jake putting together budget request for access hardware bill of materials.
  • Laura went with Jack to a glass place and they picked out some white and amber swirl, going to bookend it with safety-rated frosted plexiglass. Altogether ~$300. Laura's calling tomorrow to move forward.

ADA Bathroom

  • Need flange tile on the corners, check req's
  • Next steps: Tiling, then toilet-mounting, electrical work

Doors

  • Pretty much they just need to be hung
  • Need an assessment of what panic hardware is still needed and install it
  • Still need to hang sudo door

  • Decommission mezzanine bathroom outlet
  • Put mirrors on the walls or get rid of them (group vibe is to get rid of them) - fire hazard
  • Disco Room floor needs serious work - Rob: "Can we just throw a rug down?"
  • Install locked electric water heater in kitchenette and remove stovetop tea kettles
  • Remove carpet in the basement
  • Fixture for southwest ballroom->basement hallway
