      • From email: The Assessor’s Office is working on this, it does sound like there is quite a bit information they’re trying to comb through but they’ll be able to get something in writing out next week.
      • As it relates to the April 10th deadline the Tax Collector’s office has no ability to adjust the due date, it’s state law. You can contact them to inquire about a payment plan and then when the exemption is granted the payment plan can be adjusted and a refund issued if due.

    • Christina suggested contacting our bank - Unify FCU. Would that essentially be a second mortgage? Point person? Marc can do walk-in
    • Check if Jake closed old bank account
    • Draft Mulberry Trust email. Focus on solutions. Goal is to show them we are making progress, so they keep holding off on foreclosure.
  • Board vote to authorize Marc to negotiate with Omni's bank Unify FCU for a short-term loan $120-150K

In favor: Patrik/CCL, Marc/SM, Alex/SR, Toan/FNB, June/SMAC

Wood St rental

  • From email:
Our mission: Wood Street Commons is a peer-led, self-determined organization of unhoused residents and trusted advocates. We exist with the mission that no mouth goes unfed, no back unclothed, no head unsheltered and no voice unheard. We will continue to serve the marginalized, oppressed and vulnerable factions of our society until the day arrives when we’re no longer needed.
Our proposal: We seek to occupy the second story office space, with the attaching lounge/library area, of the Omni Commons. We agree to pay $200 dollars minimum a month, with the option to pay more, and also fundraise in available spaces within the property.
We understand that initially, for a month’s time minimum, we would only be tenants and would not have voting power as a collective. We also understand that this could change in the future, and that we could be either voted in as a collective, or asked to leave as a tenant. The decision rests solely on our participation in the preservation of this building and collective.
If all parties agree upon these points and we enter into a contractual agreement as a tenant, we would be using the space to organize our outreach efforts, as well as to serve as a headquarters for our continuing efforts in areas of political and social change.
  • Helping homeless. Just got nonprofit status.
  • discussion about how much we charge for space. Patrik (and CAST!) says $1/sqft minimum
  • John: understands that there might be an increase down the line due to CAST.
  • Room sizes, per Philip Bell on #consensus slack:
    • Entrance hall 29x51
    • Den 28x15
    • Corner office 29x10
    • Portal room 14x10 <= is this the one that Wood Str wants to rent?
    • Disco 39x28.5
    • Workshop by trash 18x14.25
    • Basement right 15.5x11.5
    • Basement middle 10x11.5
    • Basement left Cannot find key
    • Basement large office 15x19.25
  • Can we (do we need to?) take a vote next week? Would like to start asap, but could sign lease and bring a check next week.

Informing Mulberry Trust now vs. later
